Project Abstract:

Fact: Oregon nurses are struggling.  The identified stressor is Compassion Fatigue.  There is not enough energy.  Nurses are feeling overwhelmed and overworked.  By providing specific services for self-care, the RNs and the nursing support staff will have a restorative practice.  This will aid in a life/work balance. 

This innovative proposal will combine self-care services of manicure, pedicure, massage, and chiropractic care for RNs, nursing, and support staff.  In addition, the outside gazebo will be repaired or replaced.  The employee break room will be remodeled.  A Zen Garden will be created on the grounds.  This project was titled utilizing Cascadia’s motto, “Be a force for good.”
