OCN Donates 5,000 Face Masks to Protect Vulnerable Populations

The Oregon Center for Nursing (OCN), the state’s leading organization on nursing workforce issues, donated 5,000 disposable face masks to the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA).

“Given the recent news about the number of COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities in Oregon, we gladly offered to donate these needed face masks to OHCA as their member organizations protect our state’s vulnerable populations,” says OCN’s Executive Director Jana Bitton.

OHCA plans to distribute the masks to their member organizations that have the greatest need for personal protection equipment (PPE). “The Oregon Health Care Association and its members are humbled and grateful for all of the amazing support provided by organizations such as OCN,” said OHCA’s Vice President Linda Kirschbaum. “Their donation of masks was greatly appreciated by COVID-19-impacted member communities to support the health and safety of residents and long-term care heroes caring for them.”
